Last week, the Surrey HotelI invited me to teach a group of Brazilian travel agency owners on the rooftop of the hotel. The ladies and gents were all beginner yoga students.
I love to teach yoga to students of all levels and from all walks of life. The language barrier and cliché Brazilian laissez-faire attitude about exercise made for an interesting group; my students were easy going, fun, challenging, and exciting. The yoga class started with a lot of chitchat but by corpse pose, everyone was quiet.
When yoga was over, we talked, and it turns out that Brazilians in fact, need and want to bring more yoga and fitness into their lives. It’s awesome to see new students getting hooked!
After the session through the Surrey Hotel, I received the sweetest feedback from the group:
“The yoga session will be forever in our minds-the pictures are already in Facebook and many comments about that!!”
