The best book on the yoga nidra technique is one by the Bihar School Of Yoga. Kids and Yoga: The Best Yoga Assistant Ever, Your Four-Year-Old!

Your child can be a total interruption to your yoga practice or an incredibly refreshing aid to it. My daughter, Mia, use to try to stop me from practicing to demand my attention. My first reaction to the break in my concentration and movement was to try to teach her yoga so that she could do it with me. At ages 2 and 3 she was resistant to the discipline (surprise, right?). Rather than stand in mountain pose as I asked her to do, she would throw herself onto the floor into bow pose instead. I learned quickly that back bends were her thing.
