Yoga Clothing: My Favorite Brands

Comfort, feeling sexy, and having fun are the three most important drivers of my fitness clothing choices. If I go for comfort, I might not look so hot, but that’s okay because I feel totally unencumbered; loose fitting pants and t-shirts with the necks cut out (the dancer’s look) make me feel cozy and slim.  On a different day however, I might be feeling zippy and game for displaying the body I’ve worked hard to sculpt. On a day like this, I’ll go for fitted tops and bottoms and on an occasion, I will even break out the jog bra and tight black pants. Finally, of course it’s always important to have a good time while working out. For pure joy, I slip on my tie-dyes.

Favorite Brands For Comfort:

  • Omgirl and Beyond Yoga lounge pants direct me to cozy up on any near by couch. I inevitably feel amazingly zen and relaxed.
  • A t-shirt I’ve cut from last year’s Police concert featuring the incredibly hot and talented Sting front and center, allows me to feel as though I am in the company of a hero, which is incredibly motivating.

Favorite Brands for Sexiness:

  • Body Language and Lululemon hug the butt giving it a nice little lift. I like Lulu bra tops if I’m really going for it because the straps are slim and flatter the collar bones and shoulders. For full-length fitted tops I love Prana and C&C Califorina bold tanks because they are form fitting yet soft and forgiving. They also have stylish necklines. Omgirl takes the bronze medal in the tops department.

Favorite Brand for Fun:

  • Jai Dye makes me happy the moment I snuggle into the colorful and masterfully designed pants. The tops are cute too, but I find that pairing them with the pants is too much;  I prefer to mix a solid black or white top with the pants.
