There is nothing more fun than doing yoga asana (yoga poses) and everything else yoga too! This photography shoot was intended to illustrate the joy and beauty of yoga in an urban landscape. Shot along the East River of New York City, we found both concrete and nature living side by side. Whether my chin is on the pavement or I have climbed to the top of a balustrade to meet the trees, you can see that yoga can be done anywhere and everywhere and that we can experience its wonders no matter where we are.

The pictures are beautiful — the backdrop compliments the poses.
That’s so sweet! Thank you.
Julie, you continue to amaze me!
Thanks Toby! Hope you are well.
Incredible photos. Concrete doesnt look too inviting.
amazing, julie, and great photos too. i am on a lake about 200 miles north of toronto. It is beyond quiet this summer so i will be painting, swimming distance (around various sized islands), kayaking and running. The only negative is the presence of beavers who have over the winter gnawed down 40 or more beautiful red pines. We will wire-wrap the remaining trees today. Ah, the unpredictable north country. Have a good summer.
Thanks Pog! Sounds amazing. Been in nature a lot myself this summer and it’s so wonderful, It’s so important for us city rats to get out! Hope to see you in the fall.
