~Tones the quadriceps

~Opens the hips

~Stretches the calves and knees

~Releases stress from the feet and stretches the toes

 

Benefits of Virasana

~Stretches the knees, quads, and tops of the feet

~Lengthens the spine

~Enhances movement of pelvic bowl

~Opens the chest

~Allows for greater breath capacity (when done correctly)
