This morning a client of mine asked me when I was leading my next yoga retreat. My answer, “I don’t have one planned!” Though the idea of going away on a fall retreat might seem crazy when we’re supposed to be ramping things up at work, kids are in school, and social engagements could fill up a year’s worth of time in just one week, it’s actually not a bad idea to take off in the midst of the mayhem. In fact, going away and taking care of yourself will likely allow you to be more effective in all that you do. You cannot imagine the plethora of retreats waiting for your bite (and perhaps I’ll plan a yoga one soon)! Here are a few fall retreats I would go on myself:
There are two locations of The Ashram, one in California and one in Spain. I have heard innumerable stories about this place from some of my most trusted friends. I’ve been wanting to hit this one up for a long time myself so maybe I’ll run into you there! The program offers a lot of hiking, healthy food and nutritional education, yoga, and relaxation.
Yoga in Maui, Hawaii With David Swenson And Shelly Washington
David Swenson is one yogi I’ve always worshiped! I would go on this retreat with him in a heartbeat and do seek out his workshops and attend them when I can.
We Care Spa For Juice Fasting and Spirituality
One of my best West Coast friends swears by this place. I plan to hit up myself when I am ready to do a juice cleanse!
The Ranch At Live Oak/Malibu
An intense program that offers it all; fitness, yoga and food to the max!
Yoga in Rincon Puerto Rico With Jessica Bellofatto
Jess is a super fun and solid vinyasa teacher and Rincon is a cool bohemian spot (I’ve been) where you can also surf.
The Complete Retreat
Another well-rounded beautiful destination in Spain or England that offers, hiking, yoga, meditation, detoxification, massage and a whole lot more.
The Omega Institute
A kick-your-butt philosophy on this California retreat might just be thing you need to bump up your energy this fall.
Les Sources De Caudalie
Wine and anti-aging in France? How can you go wrong with this one?
