Homemade Middle Eastern Hummus
- 1 cup chickpeas (canned or initially dry and cooked)
- 1 cup tahini
- Fresh lemon juice 1 one squeezed lemon
- 1 garlic clove (optional)
- 2/3 water (plus some more)
- Olive oil
- Place chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and 2/3 cup water into blender.
- Blend until smooth adding more water if needed.
- Keep adding water until you get a thick cream-like consistency.
- Salt to taste.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
