Preparation Time
Prep Time 20 minutes, Serves 1


1/3 cup quinoa

2/3 cup water

a few walnuts, broken

2-3 dashes cardamom

1 tbsp. fresh shredded coconut

1. tsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt to taste



  1. Rinse the quinoa well under running water.
  2. Bring the quinoa and water to a boil in a small pot or rice cooker/
  3. Cook until the quinoa sprouts, about 15 minutes.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil in, add the cardamom and stir well. Add the coconut and again stir.
  5. Salt to taste.
